New Kit Coming

I am getting ready to post a newly designed kit. It pained me to do this one because, well, you'll see why but I am going to do an entire collegiate series. I just started with this one as my second since they are, after all, our rivals.

Here's a preview. I will have it up soon so check back!

I Miss You

Here's one I just finished. This is my paternal grandfather. He passed away and took a part of my heart with him on December 16, 2007. He was an amazing man who could pick up any instrument and play. He invented many things and was a very intelligent man. Most of all, he was a man of God and worked very hard at letting others know about his faith. He passed down the gift of music and photography to me and I cherish the cameras and memories he gave me and am grateful that I had him in my life. I miss him every single day and know that he's with my angels.

Circled Text in Photoshop

Here's a quick and easy tutorial on how to do Circled Text in Photoshop, the result:

Step 1: I opened up the photo that I wanted to work with. I made my canvas size just a little larger to give me some room.

Step 2: Select Ellipse Tool

Step 2a: Select "Paths"

Step 2b:
Select "Subtract from path area (-)"

Step 3:
Shift + Click for Symmetry. Don't worry if you don't get it straight, you can adjust the path.

Step 4:
If you need to adjust the path you can do this by selecting the Paths panel in Layers and then going to Edit>Free Transform Path. If you don't need to do this, you can skip this step.

Step 4a:
Adjust the path to the desired size.

Step 5:
Select your text tool and text. When you move the cursor over the path you will notice that the cursor changes. You want to click on the path(the cursor will be a little squiggly) and then type your text out. You can again adjust the path like in step 4 to make the text line up as desired.

Here's my finished photo.

Summer Dreams

This LO is one I did for a speed scrap on the JustMommies Digi Scrap board. Even though I was late at the challenge, I decided to follow the rules and do one anyway and here's what I came up with.

The Papers and Elements are from the Summer Dreams collection by Vicki Parker at A Work in Progress. The Circle Stitches are Cottage Art Designs. The Top Right font is called "Pea Nancy" from Fonts for Peas by Amanda and the other font is called PassionsConflictROB.
